Pregnant!

The test on Tuesday was positivie. Venus is pregnant!!! She was up to 48.9 lbs, still not much of a gain yet. Her belly has grown another 1/4 inch. I leave for the National on Sat Oct 3rd and will borrow a friends doppler to bring home with me. I'll post a video of that when I do it plus it might be live on ustream for anyone that's interested.

Upcoming litter!

Next week Venus, Ch Doubletake's She's Got It OA, OAJ, NAC, TN-N will be bred to Shaker, Am Can Ch Wintersong-Rexann Caus N'Commotion JHD. We are very excited about the kind of structure we expect from this litter. Not only will they be built to work but they should have the drive to do it also!

I first noticed Venus in season August 20th. I had checked her the night before so we are pretty accurate on when she came in. I ran the fertile focus on her today and it says she's no where close to being ready. We're going to start running progesterone tests on Tuesday (Day 6) and Shaker will be here on Wednesday.

Venus weght today was 49.5 lbs. I will weigh her weekly to monitor her for signs that she is pregnant.

Her nickname is Bean so if I mention that on here it is the same dog. :)
